Built in 1856, the beautiful Italianate house became the permanent home to The Woman’s Club in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At this location, a group of The Woman's Club's founding members organized and operated the first public lending library in Murfreesboro which served the community until Linebaugh Library opened in 1948. The Woman's Club today preserves and maintains the historic collection.

DeHoff noted that persons who are interested in local history and enjoy meeting others with similar interests, they are encouraged to explore the possibility of being a member of the Woman's Club of Murfreesboro.
