A 2 year old child died in a house fire in nearby Shelbyville over the weekend, according to the Shelbyville Times Gazette. The child was killed on Saturday morning around 11. The blaze was on Hoover Street. The child was said to be in a front bedroom of the house when the fire erupted. She was staying with her grandmother. The cause of the fire may have been electrical.
