A Wednesday night shooting in the area of University and Castle Streets takes one male to Vanderbilt Trauma Center.

Murfreesboro Police Sergeant Kyle Evans told WGNS News that at approximately 6:45 Wednesday night (3/6/2013), officers responded to the area of University and Castle Streets in reference to a shooting.  A male subject was shot multiple times.  The victim was transported to Vanderbilt with non-life threatening injuries. 

There is a person of interest and the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is investigating.
