According to officials, both the Rutherford County (RCSO) and Bedford County sheriffs offices were contacted by residents who said they received obscenity filled, threatening texts over the weekend from "Boo" Brewer telling them to stop contacting his mother, who lives with him at the Knob Creek Road address.

Robot cameras from the Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) were brought to the scene, and drone RCSO cameras were also used.

During the overnight standoff, approximately 10 Rutherford County deputies and two armored vehicles assisted.

The law enforcement agencies entered the home around 6:00 o'clock Tuesday morning and found Rhett Tyler "Boo" Brewer deceased.

The TBI is now in charge of the investigation.
