Murfreesboro, TN – There was a fire at a automotive dealer in Murfreesboro around 5:00 on Tuesday evening. The incident resulted in the closure of NW Broad Street as first responders arrived on the scene.

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue shutdown the east bound lane of Broad Street, which is the lane that comes into Murfreesboro from the Smyrna area. One fire truck remained in the road as firefighters began extinguishing the blaze at Broadway Motors. Traffic had to be rerouted towards I-840 as crews remained on the scene. Broadway Motors is at 2145 NW Broad Street and is a locally owned and operated business.

As for the cause of the blaze... it remains under investigation at this time. WGNS will update this story as more information is released.
