Record Warmth to Be Replaced by Cooler Temperatures & Rain

A few days in the 80's for Rutherford County will be replaced by Friday with the 50's.

The National Weather Service reports Nashville reached 85° Thursday, which sets a new record high for the month of February. Previously, the earliest date for an 85° reading was March 12, 1967.

A 40% chance of rain returns Friday with a high of 54°. Higher rain chances are in the forecast for Friday night and Saturday. Temperatures will moderate to the upper 60's by Sunday and even low 70's Monday, but with continued rain chances. Tuesday and Wednesday next week will see a return of sunshine and temperatures in the 60's and 70's.
