At 1:15 Monday (3/18/2013) afternoon, Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue responded to a home site at 2822 Craythorne Drive. Districts 6 and 7 responded to a possible lightning strike call. 

Crews checked the home, still under construction, for fire and damage. The lightning strike did not ignite the structure. However, the structure did receive electrical damage and some structural damage.

Murfreesboro Electric Department pulled the meter to the home. No injuries were reported with this incident. Craythorne Drive is in an area where new homes are being constructed, just off Battleground Drive and between Haynes Drive and Sulphur Springs Road.
