Murfreesboro, TN – SAFELY LOCATED: A “Silver Alert” that was issued by the TBI on behalf of the Murfreesboro Police Department is no longer active. The alert was announced over the Easter weekend. A Silver Alert is for missing persons – especially senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other mental disabilities.

The alert was for 81-year-old Rena Koenig, who was last seen on Saturday afternoon (04/08/23). According to the MPD, Koenig had a medical condition that may have impaired her ability to return safely without assistance.

On Monday afternoon, the TBI reported the Koenig had been safely located. Evidently, she was in Atlanta, GA.
