MURFREESBORO, TN - In Murfreesboro, Detectives received a report from a local resident about an attempted theft. Upon opening the investigation, police learned the incident occurred last week on May 2nd. Now, authorities are asking for the assistance from the community in locating or in identifying a suspect.

Police report the unidentified subject was seen driving a gray Toyota Corolla. The man was caught on camera getting out of his vehicle and attempting to break into the Grand Slam Collectibles store on NW Broad by using a crowbar to shatter the glass door. The local store has everything from baseball cards that date back to the 1940's to Pokemon cards.

Thankfully, the thief was unable to get his hands on any cards or collectibles, because he couldn't get in the door. After the unsuccessful attempt with the crowbar, the masked bandit - who was actually wearing a surgical mask - quickly made his way back to his vehicle and fled the scene. While the culprit failed to grab any goods, he still attempted to gain access into the building, which was against the law.
