RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - On June 26th, Chord met at the Greenhouse Ministries Community Room. Chord is a collaborative initiative that encourages partnerships with artists, bands, venues, and event organizers. At the meeting, the accomplishments of those individuals who best demonstrated C.H.O.R.D principles were recognized. The Spring Hero Honorees announced were the International Folk Fest: Steve Cates and Susan Gulley, Jazz Fest: Ron Alley and Susan Gulley, Dew Drop Jamboree: Larry Martin and Lynn Wallace, Media Partners: Bracken Mayo and Ivan Aronin, Fundraising Partners-- Macon Music and Mules and Readyville Fundraiser: Lynn Wallace, and Musician Partners: Steve Hall and Doug Mathis Macon Music and Mules Fundraiser. These Individuals have volunteered sacrificially to make our Middle Tennessee communities a little better.

C.H.O. R. D.  is an acronym for Collaboration, Harmony, Opportunities, Relationships and Destinations.

Spring meetings have featured topics such as public relations, advertising, and music education.  Chord meets the last Monday of the month at the Greenhouse Ministries in the Community Room, 307 S. Academy in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  Chord’s mission is to build harmony and partnerships that will help our area reach its full musical potential.  All groups and individuals who value the network possibility with others who produce live local music are invited to attend. Next meeting will be July 31, 2023, featuring “The Business of Music” at Greenhouse Ministries.
