The Demos family of restaurants are expanding with their first up-scale casualy eatery, Peter D's, to be constructed near The Avenue.
Peter Demos announced that they closed on the land this past Monday. It will be located Medical Center Parkway and Maplegrove Drive.
Demos has been working on the concept for a good while, and has been creating an image for it with the popular Peter D's seasonings that are sold at Demos' Restaurants around the mid-state. (Check website: http://www.dsseasoning.com/).
This family business has a legacy of involvement. In the 1940's Jim Demos grew-up working as a child in his father's restaurant in Birmingham. Jim later owned some franchise restaurant, but sold them and moved to Murfreesboro to open his Demos' Restaurant in 1989. The family ties continue with Peter and his sister, Felicia, operating the popular eatery. Peter's wife, Kristin, also wears many hats in this family business. In fact the idea of Peter D's reportedly evolved from a place the coupled happened onto while on a trip.
Stay tuned--WGNS will keep you informed on the progress of the new Peter D's, another family business here in our community.
