(MURFREESBORO)  The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a pre-dawn crash on I-840 between two 18-wheelers around 4:20AM Saturday morning (7/29/2023). 

Early reports indicate that one big rig went off I-840 and down a heavily treed deep embankment.

Initial reports indicate that driver was trapped with the cab of the truck wedged in a heavy underbrush and trees. Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue team members had to extricate the injured male.   

The driver of the other truck allegedly was not injured. 

The incident occurred on I-840 near NW Broad Street.
