RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - The Ethos Youth Ensembles, Rutherford County's youth orchestra program, kicks off it's 2023-2024 season this weekend with a Beginners Camp on Saturday, August 26 and the first rehearsal for it's youth orchestras on Monday, August 28.

The Ethos Youth Ensembles offers a two-year curriculum of group lessons for beginning string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass) called the Ethos Music Academy.  Families interested in enrolling should attend the Beginner Kick Off Camp this Saturday, August 26 from 10am-2pm at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro (265 W. Thompson Ln), where students will get to play every string instrument and parents can secure a rental and learn more about the Ethos program.

Students with a few years' experience playing a string instrument can participate in one of Ethos' three youth string orchestras: The Reading Orchestra (no audition), Camerata (audition required), or Chamber Orchestra (audition required), all of which begin rehearsals on Monday evening, August 28.

"Ethos shepherds students from the first time they hold an instrument until they are auditioning for college scholarships," says Brian Russell, Executive Director of the Ethos Youth Ensembles.  "Ethos serves over 120 of the brightest students from across Middle Tennessee, most from right here in Rutherford County, and we can't wait for another great season!"

Registration is live now at www.EthosMusic.net.  Call 615.274.9647 for more information.
