RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – The number of new COVID cases has remained relatively low in Rutherford County, despite a small summer surge. Local medical doctor Dan Rudd explained…

The current vaccine is being replaced by a new one, which Dr. Rudd expects to see released soon… Rudd said the new vaccine could prove to be good for those with existing medical problems or who are over the age of 60.

In Rutherford County, the number of new COVID cases over the 14-day period of August 6 through August 19th, came in at 35.9 (new cases) per day per every 100-thousand residents. However, information from the Tennessee Department of Health shows that numbers started a downward trend in week two of that 14-day count.
