Fri. (Dec. 1, 2023) 5:30-8:30PM Main Street's CHRISTMAS ON THE HISTORIC SQUARE with live music, entertainment and Santa lights the Rutherford County Christmas tree on the Murfreesboro square. Holiday revelers gather around the historic 1859 Rutherford County Court House, for the annual lighting of the Rutherford County Christmas tree. Main Street organizes this event, featuring entertainment, caroling, the lighting of the tree, and a visit from a very special bearded gentleman. Bring your family downtown for dinner, view the live nativity, shop in unique stores, enjoy an hour-long program full of choir music, dancing, acting, and Santa. Free activities for children, carriage rides, and pictures with Santa run from 5:30-8:30pm. It's a Christmas tradition for Murfreesboro and we hope you and your family will be a part of it downtown!
