Middle Tennessee Medical Center’s (MTMC) Bariatric Services has its annual bariatric celebration April 11th from 6-8 pm in the McDonald Conference Room at the hospital, 1700 Medical Center Parkway.

The event is open to current patients, patients who have received help through the program and community members interested in learning more about bariatric services. Family and children are welcome at this free event.

Program Honored

MTMC's Bariatric Services program was recently designated as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Designated by the ASMBS since November 2009, the program recently underwent an onsite inspection to receive continued designation.

“This designation is evidence that our medical staff, hospital administration and clinical staff members are committed to the highest level of quality care for our patients,” said Anne Marie Couch, bariatric program coordinator for MTMC.
