Students enrolled in a class called “Horticulture in Our Lives” have grown the plants, and funds from the sale are used for scholarships, said Dr. Cliff Ricketts, the event organizer.

Available for sale are a large selection of hanging baskets and bedding plants.

The hanging baskets include Wave petunias, coleus, Wandering Jew and lantana. No ferns are available this year. Bedding plants include petunias, impatiens, begonias, vinca, snapdragon, celosia, coleus and Dusty Miller.

New to the sale this year will be marigolds.

Geraniums are $3 for a 6-inch pot. All hanging baskets and flats are $12.

Vegetable plants for sale include tomatoes (Bradley and Big Boy), peppers, okra, squash, cucumber and more.
