(MURFREESBORO)  A Newberry Drive home received heavy damage to the connecting garage on Saturday ((12/16/2023). Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue received the call shortly after 12:00 noon to the home that is off Compton Road and connecting to Penny Lane. 

When Ladder #6 rolled onto the scene, the firefighters said that heavy smoke was billowing from the front garage window. 

Ladder 6 initiated fire attack and quickly suppressed the fire while Ladder 8’s crew searched the home for possible victims.

All occupants made it out safely.

The fire was contained to the garage. Units on scene were Ladder 6 and 8, Engine 7, Rescue 1, Safety 1 and 2, and Battalion Chief’s 1 and 2.
