TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna Announces New CFO

SMYRNA, Tenn. - TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna has announced that Steve Gray is the new chief financial officer.

As the CFO for TriStar StoneCrest, Gray will oversee all financial departments, including finance, patient access, health information management, case management, revenue integrity, information technology, and supply chain.

Gray brings a deep knowledge of HCA Healthcare and extensive financial leadership gained from over 27 years in healthcare finance. He joins TriStar StoneCrest from Texas, where he has served as CFO for 10 years at Methodist Hospital Northeast. Prior to joining Methodist Hospital Northeast, Steve was the vice president of finance for Methodist Hospital, Methodist Children’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. Steve began his career with HCA Healthcare in 1996 with the corporate reimbursement department.

Gray is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and received his CPA license in 1993 in Colorado. 

In his spare time, Gray enjoys running, traveling and playing golf. He and his wife, Barb, have two grown children and are looking forward to becoming involved in the Rutherford County community.
