(MURFREESBORO)  Murfreesboro welcomed its newest resident into the world on New Years Day just shortly after the 9AM hour. Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, in collaboration with The Tennessee Titans, marked the arrival of the Heart of Tennessee's first baby of the New Year with a special gift basket filled with essentials like pacifiers, blankets, and teddy bears, hoping to add an ounce of warmth to the start of the precious new life.

Newborn Mariah was welcomed into Murfreesboro on Monday morning. The beautiful young lady weighs 7-pounds and 3-ounces, she is 18 and 3/4 inches long.

In Nashville, Lincoln was the first newborn for Saint Thomas. There, Lincoln was born at 3:16am at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown. Lincoln is 17 inches long and weighs 3 pounds, 14 ounces.
