(MURFREESBORO) Middle Tennessee State University's Police Department is again offering a free RAD class to all women age 13 or older. They stress that this free class is available to everyone, you don't have to be a university student or faculty member. The 6-week basic self defense class for women will be held from 6-8PM every Friday evening from January 19 through February 23, 2024.

If you are not familiar with the Rape Aggression Defense system for women, it teaches how to incorporate self-defense tactics and techniques. The concept of the program begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.

Again, this 6-week class from 6-8PM on Friday nights (Jan. 19-Feb. 23, 2024) is absolutely free.
