Middle Tennessee Medical Center will host a free breast reduction seminar 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday evening, April 25th, in Classroom B on the first floor of the hospital. Topics will be covered by Dr. Nicholas Tarola, an MTMC plastic surgeon with extensive training in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast and body.

Large breasts can be a burden, both physically and psychologically, and can interfere with daily activities. Women can suffer breast, back, neck and shoulder pain, notching of the skin on the shoulder from the bra strap and skin irritation or rash below the breasts.

Dr. Tarola will discuss options for breast reduction surgery, indications for surgery, expected outcomes following surgery, typical requirements for insurance coverage of the procedure and how patients can prepare.
