Murfreesboro Police are in the midst of an investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on the 14th of this month at Campus Crossing Apartments on South Rutherford Boulevard. The female victim who is a college student said that she was walking through the parking lot when she felt someone press what she believed to be a gun against her back. An unknown man then told the 20-year old woman to give him everything she had. The robbery happened as the victim made a quick run to her car to retrieve something.

Because the woman was not going anywhere, she did not have her purse or any possessions with her. The female told the subject that she did not have anything and the man proceeded to rip her engagement ring from her finger. After gaining the ring he took off running.

The victim quickly ran to her fiancé’s apartment and police were called. Detectives quickly showed up to document the attack and the theft of the victim’s ring. The diamond ring was valued at more than $1,500. So far the culprit has not been caught.
