MTSU Celebrates Black History Month 2024 with Keynote by Actor Marcus Scribner

Murfreesboro, TN - Middle Tennessee State University is highlighting "African Americans in the Arts" for their 2024 Black History Month celebration throughout February. They are featuring an appearance by the esteemed young actor Marcus Scribner, known for his role as Andre “Junior” Johnson in the popular comedy series "black-ish."
Scribner will be the keynote speaker on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the Tennessee Room of the James Union Building on campus. The 23-year-old actor will participate in a moderated conversation about his experiences in the film and television industry, hosted by a member of MTSU's Black History Month Committee.
This event, which is free and open to the public, aims to provide valuable insights for MTSU students interested in pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. Scribner's impressive career includes roles in various series and films, earning him accolades such as Outstanding Supporting Actor at the NAACP Image Awards for his role in "black-ish."
