The Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® (MTAR) and local members are in the final planning stages for Rutherford County’s “original” golf scramble, the 36th Annual Bill Carey Golf Scramble presented by First Community Mortgage. In 1976, REALTOR® Bill Carey coordinated a new fundraiser to benefit the American Diabetes Association, among other local needs and requests. His new idea was to sponsor a one-day golf scramble on a warm June afternoon with fun and prizes for everyone and to raise money for great causes. Thirty-six years later, the Bill Carey Golf Scramble has raised over $200,000 to help our community.
The 36th Annual Bill Carey REALTORS® Golf Scramble will be held Wednesday, June 5th at Indian Hills Golf Club. The Scramble will benefit the American Diabetes Association and the MTAR Scholarship Fund. Lunch will be served at 11:30am with a Shotgun start at 1:00pm. There will be prizes for 3 flights, skill shots and putting. Hole-in-one prizes are being furnished by Ford of Murfreesboro and include a 2-year lease of a 2013 Ford Edge SE and trips to Treetops Golf Resort in Michigan and Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas. Team registration is just $400 or $100 for individuals.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for all budgets. For more information call the MTAR office at 615/893-2242 or visit www.mtar.org.
