An Ohio woman has fallen victim to a heartless scam in Rutherford County. Mary Bailey who is from Ohio told us she got a new job in Gallatin, Tennessee and decided to move her family to Murfreesboro. Her goal was to live in our community and to make the daily commute to and from Gallatin for work. Bailey told us what happened…

The address of the home is 1507 Sherrill Boulevard and reports indicate the home does not belong to the person who allegedly scammed Mrs. Bailey and her family out of over $1,300.

In the meantime, Bailey is working with Murfreesboro Police in hopes of catching the suspect who may be in Tennessee or Kentucky… the two locations that Bailey sent money orders to. However, the area code on the phone number that Bailey used to contact the culprit is from California.

Bailey started her first day of her new job Saturday, but is out of money at this point and cannot afford to stay at the Murfreesboro Motel another night. Evidently, it will be several weeks before she receives her first paycheck.
