(MURFREESBORO) Linebaugh Public Library, W. Vine St., is hosting local author Charles Brewton for a book signing on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. He will be signing and selling copies of his book Muslim Mechanics, The View from Behind the Curtain.

Islam is the world's second-largest Religion, with 1.8 billion adherents. In a world of 8 billion people, Muslims make up a 22 percent market share. In the "halal economy," which measures the private consumption of Muslim individuals, the market share is only 10 percent.

Muslims are making up for lost time; you can bet this part of the economy will grow in the next decade. The Islamic population in the U.S. is increasing, and it is essential to know as much about this Religion as possible. Muslim Mechanics explains how Islamic beliefs, functions, and policies work. For example, Islamic finance is not socialist but does undermine our capitalist free market and free speech society. Muslims believe in a free market with restrictions.

The Prophet Muhammad and many of his Companions were traders and practiced free trade. However, there were many restrictions on how they conducted their business and spent their profits. Their belief in liberal democracy is weak, but they will work within the process to obtain their objectives. Muslims are hard workers.
