Murfreesboro, TN -The SRO Fun Fair at the Ag Center on John R. Rice Blvd. on Friday (3/22/2024) was enjoyed by approximately 570 students and staff from 30 schools participating.
Highlights of the SRO Fun Fair:
- Interaction with Animals: Students had the opportunity to get up close with camels, goats, and rabbits from Party Animals Petting Zoo.
- Face Painting: Volunteers from the school’s special education staff adorned the students with colorful designs.
- Inflatable Fun: Jumping Hearts Party Rentals provided inflatables that showcased the students’ athletic abilities.
- Educational Experience: Students received Tennessee Highway Patrol hats, explored the Sheriff’s Office Hummer, and toured an Emergency Medical Service ambulance.
Special Moments:
EMT Joe Strong and Paramedic Chris Ray engaged with the students, answering their questions and showing them the ambulance.
Event Coordinator SRO Chad Dodson expressed his joy in seeing the students’ excitement, emphasizing that such events touch the hearts of everyone involved.
Acknowledgments:
- SRO Golf Tournament: The event was funded by the annual SRO Golf Tournament and Auction.
- Supporters: A special thanks to the golfers, sponsors, auction donors, volunteers, and SROs who supported the tournament.
- Rutherford County Schools: The administration, Special Education department, teachers, and staff were acknowledged for their participation.
- Contributors: Thanks were also extended to Chick-fil-A for providing lunch for the volunteers and to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services, and the Sheriff’s Citizens Academy Alumni Association volunteers for their contributions.
