Christiana, TN – The 10-year-old son of Rutherford County School’s Director Dr. James Sullivan is in critical condition after a tragic storm related accident Wednesday night. There will be a Community Prayer Vigil at 2:00PM this afternoon (Thursday 5/9/2024) at the Rutherford County Schools' administrative office, 2240 Southpark Drive, Murfreesboro.

A neighbor in this Christiana community said that children were playing in her backyard and one of them lost a shoe near a storm drain. While trying to retrieve the shoe, the 10-year-old fell into the drain. The current of the drain, pulled the child into it.

Dr. Sullivan commented on his Facebook page, "As many of you have heard, our youngest son, Asher was involved in a tragic event last night after the storm. While the neighbors were helping pick up debris, putting fences back up, etc., the neighborhood kids were playing in the water in the streets.

Somehow, Asher got caught in the storm drain and was swept under the neighborhood streets. He eventually came out in a drainage ditch and CPR was administered for quite some time. His heart beat was reestablished but the damage is substantial. Currently, we are at Vanderbilt after being transported from Ascension.

His lungs are severely damaged and he is not showing much brain activity outside of muscle jerks.
Specifically, pray for healing for his lungs and most importantly brain activity to occur.

Asher needs a miracle."

Again, 10-year old Asher is in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Please keep the family of Rutherford County School’s director in your prayers.

Again, there will be a Community Prayer Vigil at 2:00PM this afternoon (Thursday 5/9/2024) at the Rutherford County Schools' administrative office, 2240 Southpark Drive, Murfreesboro.
