La Vergne, TN - There was a home fire on Saturday (6/1/2024) on Nixon Way in La Vergne. 

Firefighters from La Vergne Fire-Rescue report that heavy smoke was visible as units rolled onto the scene. Their quick response enabled them to quickly extinguish the blaze. 

Residents were able to escape the fire without any injuries, however the Red Cross is helping them with clothing, necessities and emergency shelter. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
