MURFREESBORO, TN - An upcoming career fair will be held at the Murfreesboro Civic Plaza THIS FRIDAY on June 14th, from 9 AM to 1 PM, offering a variety of opportunities for area residents while fulfilling a vital recruitment need for employers. Alex Jones, a Human Resource Manager with the City of Murfreesboro, told WGNS that this event is crucial for both job seekers and employers in the region.

Rutherford County continues to experience an impressively low unemployment rate, consistently below the 3% mark. Murfreesboro’s unemployment rate stands at 2.5%, while Smyrna and LaVergne report rates of 2.4% and 2.6%, respectively, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. This low unemployment rate highlights the demand for skilled employees across various industries.
