Goodbye to a Good Neighbor: Mona Herring

May 01, 2013 at 06:01 am by Bryan Barrett

Rutherford County said goodbye to a big promotor. Mona Herring's last day as vice-president of the Convention and Visitors Bureau was Tuesday. A reception was held to honor her. She has helped to bring many big events to Rutherford County and was very influential in helping to make the area a magnet for tourism. Herring began her journey with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce 25-years ago. In 1995, she was hired as the first director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Nicky Reynolds has been hired to replace Herring as vice-president of the C-V-B and has been working with her throughout the month of April to make the smooth transition.
