The Central Magnet baseball team and Smyrna softball team claim their first ever district championships. Central's Alex Ropp pitched a no-hitter in the Tiger's 12-nothing win over Smith County to win their first ever District 8-Double-A regular season championship. It's only Central's second year of competition in the district. The Smyrna Lady Bulldogs beat Blackman 2-to-nothing yesterday (Tuesday) to win the school's first District 7-Triple-A title, knocking off multi-year champion Riverdale.
