Rutherford County Historical Society's SUMMER PICNIC and meeting at 6:30PM Monday evening, Aug. 19, 2024, lets you step-back to a more relaxed era. The public is invited to explore the old Brown's store (6605 Lascassas Pike, Lascassas, TN). Melinda "Mo" Brown Black is the speaker and will share history and memories about the family and store.
Since the gathering offers food, the start-time was moved to 6:30PM. Doors open at 6:00PM so you can wander around the store and view all the museum items related to the family and Lascassas.
Melinda is also preparing an old fashioned picnic with hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, brownies, a drink, and ice cream for $10.50 per person. Deadline for reservations will be August 10 so please bring your check to the Ransom School House on any Saturday between now and August 10.
If you are mailing your check, please mail by August 5, 2024, to PO Box 906, Murfreesboro, TN 37133-0906. Paypal not accepted for this event!
