State Representative Joe Carr has thrown his hat into the ring and will run for U-S Congress in the 4th District. He made the announcement Thursday at a noon press conference. Carr, who has been a state representative since 2008, is currently chairman of the government subcommittee. The Lascassas Republican will run against incumbent Congressman Scott DesJarlais and State Senator Jim Tracy. The 4th Congressional District includes Rutherford and 15 other counties in Middle and Southeastern Tennessee.
