Murfreesboro, TN - This is Greenhouse Ministries' 25th anniversary, and the "Silver Live In The 'Boro" was held at MTSU in the Student Union Ballroom. Co-founders Cliff and Jane Sharp greets and shared memories as the evening's guests arrived.
The audience was warmed-up with several "live auctions". There were also oportunities to help Greenhouse with expenses. The "auction" format was used to get the public to underwrite $2,000, $1,000, $750, $500, $250, and $100 donations.
Then the "live talent" came to the stage, and boy was it tremendous. Everything from music, comedy and even art.
All-in-all it was an evening of fun and food.
Cliff and Jane announced that the past year saw a dramatic increase in the number of persons served. At the beginning of 2023 Greenhouse served about 35 persons each day. Now the numbers are around 70 daily. That's about twice the number of persons served by this local 501(C)(3) non-profic.
