The Murfreesboro Police Department congratulates the MPD Motorcycle Unit for their participation and success in the Music City Police Motorcycle Skills and Training Competition held at Opry Mills May 1 – 4. Motorcycle officers from Tennessee, Mississippi, Virginia, and Kansas competed in the competition designed to test the ability of an officer to operate a motorcycle in a safe and efficient manner while negotiating an obstacle course. The competition consisted of individual and team events including a timed obstacle course, technical skills course, challenge course, and other courses designed to test the Officer’s abilities.
Officer Clayton Williams placed 5th in the Expert Division II (full frame and fairing) and 8th place overall. The MPD congratulates Officer Williams and the other officers who participated in the competition.
