Mrs. Dorris Alline Pruitt McCall was born on April 19, 1938 and passed into Heaven on November 23, 2024 at the age of 86. She lived her entire childhood and adult life in Eagleville, TN and was proud to be a part of this small community. She was known as Mama or Neen or second mama to many children. She was a daughter of the late William Pruitt and Omega Young Pruitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Mr. Jack McCall, son-in-law, Paul Anderson, and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Alline was active in Eagleville Baptist Church until her health issues. Early in life she mentored many young ladies through the Girls Auxiliary. She was director of Vacation Bible School, lead community outreach, and numerous potluck lunches. Dorris Alline remained faithful and loved having her family and friends read her devotional daily.
She served as room mother at the school several years for many years and was present for basketball games. She drove many girls to basketball camps and made several post-game basketball outfits over the years. She supported her family through years of horse shows and baseball games. In later years, she enjoyed watching college basketball and especially University of Kentucky Wildcat games.
Mrs. McCall is survived by her daughters, Glenda McCall Blank (Joe Blank) of Nashville, TN, Jackie Anderson of Rockvale, TN; grandson, Jacob (Kayla) Anderson of Rockvale, TN; great grandchildren, Nathan & Sadie Anderson; special nephew, Ben Bolden of Murfreesboro, TN; special great nephews and niece, Scott, Josh, & Ashley Bolden; special great great nephew, Max Bolden; special great great niece, Ari Vallejo; many other beloved nieces and nephews who were so special to her and that she loved like her own.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, December 2, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Martin and Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community in Bedford County, TN.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
