City Construction Projects
Bradyville Pike Road Survey Work (between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd)
Expected No Lane Closures: Monday – Friday: Incidental surveying work continues on the side streets along Bradyville Pike between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.
Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Projects
- Jupiter Place between S Baird Lane and Minerva Dr – 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- N Maple St between Polk St and Chestnut St – 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: The contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will be replacing sanitary sewer pipe on Jupiter Place between S Baird Lane and Minerva Dr and on N Maple St between Polk St and Chestnut St. Jupiter Place will be closed to through traffic. N Maple St will be reduced to one lane with flagman directing traffic around the work area. Driveway access to local residents will be kept open at all times. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
N Thompson Lane at Sulphur Springs Road Intersection Improvement Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor for City of Murfreesboro will be making intersection improvements at N Thompson Lane and Sulphur Springs Road. The work entails turn lane improvements and signalization work at this location. There will be traffic interruptions and lane closures on Thompson Lane.
On Saturday and Sunday, May 11 & 12, weather permitting, the contractor will be doing roadway widening work on N Thompson Lane at Sulphur Springs Road. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Proper traffic control signs will be in place.
S Rutherford Blvd at Chandler Pl Intersection Improvement Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor for a private development across from Chandler Pl will be making intersection improvements on S Rutherford Blvd at Chandler Pl. The work entails turn lane improvement work at this location. There will be traffic interruptions and lane closures on S Rutherford Blvd. Proper traffic controls will be in place.
Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Construction work continues on Joe B Jackson Pkwy between I-24 and S Church Street. The work entails the installation of signage, erosion control measures, clearing, grubbing, construction staking and bridge work. There will minor traffic interruptions. There will be no lane closures. The appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
N Thompson Lane Re-paving Project (between NW Broad Street and Memorial Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: Contractor for Tennessee Department of Transportation will be milling the two-lane section of N Thompson Lane between Royal Drive and Seigel Road. Guardrail and traffic signal loop installation work will be done at night between 8 pm and 5 am. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Proper traffic controls will be in place.

NW Broad Street Comcast Fiber Optic Project
Expected Lane Closures: Wednesday & Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for Comcast will be replacing trenching and installing fiber optic cable on the east side of NW Broad Street just north of Ridgley Rd. There will be a short (200 feet) lane closure. The appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
AT&T Overhead Cable Work (between Haynes Drive and Osborne Lane)
Expected Lane Closures: Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: AT&T crews will be on overhead utility cables on the west side of Memorial Blvd between Haynes Drive and Osborne Lane. There will be partial lane closures and minor traffic interruptions on the southbound lanes of Memorial Blvd. Northbound traffic will not be affected. Proper traffic controls will be in place.
Cason Lane Sewer Line Repair Project (between Parkwood Drive and Veterans Pkwy)
Expected Lane Closures: Mid-Week: The contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will begin replacing sanitary sewer lines on the side streets south of Parkwood Drive. There will be no interruptions on Cason Lane during this work. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
River Rock Blvd Verizon Fiber Optic Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm: Contractor for Verizon will be installing underground fiber optic cable on River Rock Blvd across from the Verizon Building site. There will be no lane closures and minimal traffic interruptions. The appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
