County lawmakers will take up the budget for the next fiscal year this week. First, the Rutherford County Board of Education will take up the budget tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5pm at their offices on Southpark Boulevard. Then, Wednesday, the county's Budget Committee will consider several budget requests at their 5:30 meeting. They will consider requests for the General Fund and nearly 20 other county offices. Finally, the full County Commission will consider how to pay for health insurance increases. That meeting will begin at 6 Thursday night in the second floor courtroom of the Rutherford County Courthouse.
