May is Better Hearing Month – it’s a perfect time for people to get their hearing checked. Hearing loss is the third most common physical condition after arthritis and heart disease, but a lot of people who suffer from hearing loss don’t get the help they need to live their lives fully.

Just in time for Better Hearing Month, the physicians and audiologists of Middle Tennessee Hearing Solutions, a division of Middle Tennessee Ear Nose and Throat, is inviting the community to the Murfreesboro office May 16 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The event will include complimentary hearing screenings, gift bags, door prizes, food, video otoscopy and more. You must RSVP to attend the event May 16. Please call 615-624-5400 to set up an appointment.

Visitors can experience the latest in hearing aid technology and learn how to enhance hearing with the newest wireless technology. The event will kick-off MT ENT’s new Mobile Hearing Solutions program, a service that will make getting your hearing checked even easier. Rather than trying to fit a trip to the audiologist into a busy day, MT Mobile Hearing Solutions will come to you—at work, at home, or at your senior living center.

In honor of Better Hearing Month, MT ENT is offering all patients savings up to $400 on a new set of hearing aids or additional savings of $200 off the purchase of a hearing aid in May.

Mobile Hearing Solution’s Daniela Kam is also working to start the first Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. Kam hopes this initiative will raise awareness about the prevalence of hearing loss in our community.

“There are so many things that people can do, and that our community can do, to improve the lives of people with hearing loss,” Kam said.
