RIDE OF SILENCE: Wednesday Night Bike Ride will Honor 20-Year Old Man Killed by Motorist in February

May 14, 2013 at 03:02 pm by Bryan Barrett

Sarah Lovett, Chair of the Rutherford County Bicycle Safety Committee and President of the Murfreesboro Bike Club told us they will be hosting a “Ride of Silence” Wednesday night in Murfreesboro.

Timothy Martin was only 20-years old when he was run over by a motorist on South Rutherford Blvd. in Murfreesboro (Click here for more on that story).

To participate in the ride simply show up at the MTSU Rugby Fields on East Main Street Wednesday night (May 15) at 7:00 p.m. The only requirement is that you wear a helmet.

Of interesting note:

Both Rutherford County Mayor Ernest Burgess and Murfreesboro Mayor Tommy Bragg have declared May National Bike Month in our community.
