A 35-year old man who told police he was a lawyer was apprehended after allegedly hitting a pedestrian while in his vehicle. Suspect Bradley McCullough reportedly operated his vehicle in a reckless manner which was said to result in the pedestrian being injured.
Murfreesboro Police say they located McCullough behind the Toot’s restaurant on South Church Street at about one in the morning on Tuesday. The report shows they found the culprits’ vehicle behind the eatery and that it ran over two trees before coming to a rest against a third.
When officers questioned the lawyer, he claimed to be injured and was transported to the hospital, according to the arrest report. The record of arrest shows that when police arrived at the medical center to question the suspect, “Mr. McCullough was not responding to ER staff and was appearing to be unconscious.” The following line states that he was treated and released with only minor injuries.
McCullough was said to of refused to submit to a blood alcohol test and police obtained a search warrant to conduct the test that was signed by Judge Loughry at one that morning. The allegations and statements by witnesses led to the suspect being charged with DUI, Violation of Implied Consent, Vehicular Assault, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident and Reckless Endangerment. He was placed under a $9,000 bond and later released.
