A violent sex offender returns to jail.  Robert Rickman has the story...

VERBATIM

A 56-year old man who turned himself in this past January and who was facing ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor has been rebooked on previous charges and according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is being held under a $500,000 bond. Leslie Foster supposedly agreed to an 18-year sentence agreeing to a guilty plea in exchange for him being allowed to visit his mother, who at last report was said to have cancer. Foster was officially taken into custody on Friday afternoon.

Reports from January showed that the Murfreesboro man had reached a temporary agreement for supervised probation while wearing a GPS ankle transmitter locked to his leg. The transmitter allowed officials to instantly track his every move. This agreement was reached so that he could visit his ailing mother.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confiscated computers in his home after he was accused of luring children into his home to allegedly photograph. It is important to note that in 2008 and later in 2009 Foster was arrested on charges of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. He is currently listed on the T.B.I Sexual Offender Registry and classified as a violent offender.

WGNS will continue to follow the developments in this story.

Previous news story from July 2012 about Foster:

A 55-year old Murfreesboro man questioned for illegal drug sales has been arrested. Police say that Leslie M. Foster was parked near Oakland’s Mansion where he was allegedly meeting persons to buy prescription drugs. Officers say they found nearly 200-hydrocodone pills in Foster’s truck. At the time, Foster was working for a property management company.

When police searched through past text on Foster’s phone, they reportedly found information that led them to believe he had been trading pills for sexual acts. They also say they found more evidence of illegal drug sales.

Police seized all the cash that was in Foster’s possession and his truck. He was charged with possession of a schedule 3 drug for resale and the unlawful carrying of a weapon.
