Murfreesboro, TN - At 10:38 PM on Sunday night (2/16/2025), a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of S. Rutherford Blvd. and S.E. Broad Street (TN Hwy 41). The incident resulted in several lanes being blocked after the driver of a car, who refused to stop for police, ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. The driver fled the scene on foot, and police are still searching for the individual.
A large number of Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) squad cars, Murfreesboro Fire Rescue (MFR), and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services (RCEMS) responded to the busy intersection at Circle K on Broad (Manchester Hwy/TN 41) and Rutherford Blvd. Several occupants of the other vehicle, a truck, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is currently investigating the crash. Authorities urge drivers to exercise caution and avoid the area if possible.
