Smyrna, TN - An officer-involved shooting took place around 2:00AM Saturday morning (2/22/2025) at the Sterling at Stonecrest Apartments, 400 Great Circle in Smyrna. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center. That person's condition has not been released.

Officials with the Town of Smyrna have confirmed to WGNS that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is currently investigating the incident, which is normal in situations like this.

At this point, the TBI has not released any information about why police were at the apartment. The apartment complex is situated between the hospital and I-24 in Smyrna.
