Rutherford County Opens Public Shelters Following Overnight Storms

Rutherford County, TN - In response to the severe storms that swept through the area overnight Friday into Saturday, Rutherford County has stepped up to provide aid for those affected. The county's Public Health and Safety Buildings are now open as emergency public shelters.

These shelters, which began operating at 5:00 AM Saturday morning (March 15, 2025), are ready to accommodate individuals in need for as long as necessary. The designated shelter locations include:

  • 6413 Lebanon Rd., Walter Hill, TN

County officials urge residents whose homes were damaged by the storm to seek refuge at these facilities. The shelters aim to provide a safe haven during this challenging time.
