Woodbury, TN – The Arts Center of Cannon County in neighboring Woodbury is about to become the centerpiece of musical theater with the debut of the award-winning Oklahoma!—a timeless classic by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Under the direction of the talented Cyndie Verbeten, this production promises to captivate audiences with its charm and heart.
The musical opens this coming Friday (3/28/2025) and running through Saturday (4/12/2025). Oklahoma! is an enduring tale of love and rivalry set against the rugged backdrop of Western Indian Territory in the early 20th century. The show follows Curly, a charismatic cowboy, and Laurey, a spirited farm girl, as they navigate a tumultuous road to romance. As their love story unfolds, so does the journey toward statehood, culminating in a vibrant celebration of community and new beginnings.
