Rutherford County Property Assessor Says Records for 2013 are OPEN

Property records and appraisals in Rutherford County for the 2013 year are now “open” for public inspection.  Property Assessor Rob Mitchell says his office has the records available for the public to view in the County Clerk building on the second floor in suite 200.

According to an email WGNS received from Mitchell, “Property owners or their Agent (per TCA 67-5-1407) who wish to appeal and seek adjustments in the appraisal or classification of their property may appear before the Rutherford County Board of Equalization, which begins its hearing June 3, 2013.”

Pursuant to Section 67-5-508, Tennessee Code Annotated, the records of the classifications, appraisals and assessed values of the 2013 taxable property inRutherfordCountyare NOW open for inspection by interested property owners.

According to Rutherford County Assessor Rob Mitchell, these records are open for public inspection at 319 N. Maple Street, Suite 200, Murfreesboro TN during normal office hours.

Property owners or their Agent (per TCA 67-5-1407) who wish to appeal and seek adjustments in the appraisal or classification of their property may appear before the Rutherford County Board of Equalization, which begins its hearing June 3, 2013.

TIME AND PLACE OF HEARINGS

The Rutherford County Board of Equalization will meet Monday June 3, 2013

 

from 9:00 a.m.until 3:30 p.m.and will continue each weekday through Friday June 7, 2013 ,in the conference room at the office of Assessor of Property at 319 N. Maple Street, Suite 200. Please call898-7760 to schedule an appointment. June 5th. will be the last day appointments for appeals will be accepted. Failure to appeal the assessment to the Rutherford County Board of Equalization will result in the assessment becoming final without further right of appeal.
