A felony case of passing worthless checks is being investigated right now in Rutherford County. Two LaVergne residents are accused of depositing over $14,000 worth of fraudulent checks at an F & M Bank branch in Murfreesboro. The checks, all six of them, were reportedly written on closed accounts. After the deposits were made the suspects withdrew money from their account. The incidents occurred between the months of December and March, but still no arrests made.
